First of all, apologize for not updating this site for too long, I’ve been busy dealing with offline issue and some outside project that makes me almost forgot that i have a site to maintain.
Anyway, i’ve been thinking of redesigning this site since earlier this year. I come to realize that the old design is outdated, inefficient, and not serving its purpose as a place for my online presence under the CamelGraph brand.

The new site concept is simple and efficient. The color scheme is changed to orange/black/white to achieve more contrast and readability , no more fancy background, unnecessary images and icons, etc. I also tried to add more whitespace by eliminating unnecessary border in box-model element or change the border color to be subtled with the main content background.
For featuring my work, I also add the “Latest Theme” section in top of the main content area to display 5 recent collection of my free wordpress theme release. The sidebar is getting revamped. It’s wider and cleaner now, text-based social count now in place instead of image, the social icons size are reduce. Other than homepage, the inner-page and post-view are also get some fresh look.
Design aside…
I also make an overhaul to the site-backend, the current theme is now based on the more semantic HTML5 structure and build on top of my new theme framework which is cleaner and more efficient than the previous one (you can experience it in my next theme release ) . And for boosting site’s page-speed performance. I moved my site to the new server at Eleven2 and get all my static file served via MaxCDN Content Delivery Network. I’ll write another post later about this.
I know it’s far from perfection but overall I’m really enjoyed this redesign process and satisfied with the result.
